Louisville, Kentucky, may be known worldwide for the Kentucky Derby and bourbon, but the city also has a thriving food scene. Not only can you find some of the best restaurants around but if you are looking to eat fresh and also support local farmers. There are plenty of great farmer markets in Louisville.

Some of these farms also offer a neat thing called a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). Where you pay a fee at the beginning of the season and then receive fresh produce throughout the summer. It's a great way to eat fresh and local. How it works is; as a community member, you buy a "share" of the farm's output. This gives the farmers a reliable income, and in return, you get weekly farm-fresh goodies.
